March is Women's History Month and we're celebrating by highlighting unique scholarships for amazing women. Once of the best ways to honor such extraordinary past achievements of women is to take advantage of the opportunities awarded for your future - possibilities that, without their hard work, determination and efforts, would not be available to you today.
Women's History Month is a relatively new month-long observance in the United States. In fact, it's only about 40-years old as a nationally recognized month. According to a National Women's History Alliance article, National Women's History Month begin in 1980 with a proclamation from then president, Jimmy Carter.
Many celebrate fierce females by awarding and empowering remarkable women with college scholarships.

Award Amount: $4,000 The Perry 'Second Chances' Scholarship Award is available to women and girls who have been impacted by incarceration. You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this award. Priority will be given to women of color.

Award Amount: $8,000 The ITWomen Scholarship Program is open to female graduating high school seniors. You must be majoring in computer science, IT, engineering, computer arts animation, game development, or graphic design; and be a resident of Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach County to be eligible for this award.

Award Amount: Varies The Management Women Scholarship is available to female students who reside or attend school in Northeastern Wisconsin. You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be sponsored by a current member of Management Women, Inc. to be eligible for this award.

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000 The IWFA Scholarship is available to graduate students pursuing a course of study in the marine sciences. This award is based on character, academic accomplishments, need and general aptitude in marine sciences.

Award Amount: Varies The Women in Defense Scholarship is available female juniors, seniors, and graduate students. You must be pursuing a career related to national security or defense, have a minimum 3.25 GPA, and demonstrate financial need to eligible for this award.

Award Amount: $10,000 - $15,000 The FWSF Scholarship Fund is available to female students who are majoring in accounting, finance, or a financial services field. You must be enrolled at a Bay Area college / university and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Award Amount: $3,000 The Laurels Fund Scholarship is available to female students pursuing advanced degrees in accounting. You must have completed comprehensive exams prior to the previous fall semester to be eligible for this award.

Award Amount: $2,500 The Women's Initiative Scholarship is available to female sophomore, junior, and senior students of all majors. You must demonstrate interest in financial planning to be considered for this award.

Award Amount: $1,000 - $4,000 The Women on Par Scholarship is available to female undergraduate students in the U.S. and Canada. You must be at least 30 years of age and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Only the first 200 applications will be accepted.

Award Amount: $1,000 - $2,000 The Michigan Sugar Queen Scholarship is available to female students between the ages of 18 and 23. You must be continuing your studies at an accredited college in the state of Michigan, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be a resident of a county where sugarbeets are grown to be eligible for this award. Recipients of this award must be willing to commit to serving as the Sugar Queen or Court attendant for one full year. You must also be unmarried and have no minor dependents, and must remain unmarried for the entire reign.

Award Amount: Varies The Association of Women Contractors Scholarship is available to female students who are enrolled in a construction - related program. You must reside or attend school in Minnesota to be eligible for this award.

Award Amount: $3,500 The Women's Southern Golf Association Scholarship is available to female high school seniors who play or have an interest in golf. You must be a resident of one of the 15 southern states or the District of Columbia to be eligible for this award.
Available to: College Seniors
Award Amount: $10,000 The Women in Science Scholarship is available to female students who are entering their final year of undergraduate study. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, pursuing a degree in the atmospheric, oceanic, and climate sciences, or a related area of study to be eligible for this award.
Available to: Ages 19-25
Award Amount: $1,500 - $10,000 The National Cherry Queen Program is open to female students who are between the ages of 19 and 25 and residing in Michigan. You must be of good character and conduct, have never been convicted of a crime, be single, and not be pregnant or have children to be eligible for this award. Also, you are not permitted to smoke, vape, or consume alcohol at any time during the competition. The top recipient will become the spokesperson for the National Cherry Festival and the Cherry Industry.

Award Amount: Varies The Julie A. Keil Women in Hydro Scholarship is available to women who are majoring in a discipline relevant to entering the hydropower industry. You must demonstrate academic merit and financial need to be considered for this award.

Award Amount: $1,500 The Amie Dansby Women in Technology Award is available to female high school seniors who are planning to pursue a career in a videogame or technology - based field. You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.
Available to: High School Juniors & Seniors
Award Amount: $2,000 The Empowering Women through STEM Grant is available to female, non-binary, and female identifying high school juniors and seniors. You must be planning to attend the Universal Technical Institute, Motorcycle and Marine Mechanics Institute, or NASCAR Technical Institute to be eligible for this award.
Available to: College Juniors through Graduate Students
Award Amount: $3,000 The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education is available to female students in the United States and Canada. You must be a citizen of the US or Canada and attend a college or university in the US or Canada. You must be within 24 months of completing your educational goal and have spent at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student during your adult life to be eligible for this award. Students in doctoral and professional degree programs are not eligible.
