Have you ever been part of a pay it forward moment in a drive-thru? The idea is that the person in front of you pays for your coffee or meal, and you pay for the person after.
The end result is a chain reaction of benevolence and goodwill.
The $25K One for Two Scholarship is very similar. It gives students the opportunity to win a scholarship to pay for college, with the intention that they will help another student in the future pay for their college dreams.
Applicants must meet the below requirements to apply:
• GPA must be at least 3.7 unweighted, 4.0 weighted
• An up-to-date official transcript from student’s current school
• Agree to 1 for 2 Education Foundation Pledge
• Completed Application
• Applicant must be living in the United States but is not required to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Applicant’s chosen college or university must be located in the United States
• If selected for an interview, two letters of recommendation
• If selected for an award, must attend the annual gathering while receiving your award
Applicants must show proof of living a life in line with the foundation standards. The scholarship committee will examine an applicant’s academic record, leadership and community service activities, letters of recommendation, and a commitment to fulfilling the above pledge.
