The KNAC Research Experience for Undergraduates in Astronomy is available to undergraduate students at institutions that are part of the Keck Northeast Astronomy Consortium. To be considered for this internship, you should be majoring in astronomy, math, physics, engineering, or other allied fields, as long as they have adequate backgrounds to be able to participate in astronomical research. As an intern, you will spend your summer doing astronomy research at a northeast liberal arts college. Research may involve stars, star formation, solar system, planetary nebulae, quasars, light curves, python, exoplanets, galaxies, spectroscopy, coding, photometry, occultations, and more. This internship runs for 10 weeks.
