The Carnegie Earth and Planets Laboratory Summer Undergraduate Research Internship is available to undergraduate students in DC, MD, and VA who are majoring in astronomy, chemistry, computer science, geology, physics, planetary science, or a related field. To be considered for this internship, you must be a U.S. citizen/permanent resident and at least 18 years of age. EPL is a division of the Carnegie Institution for Science, a non-profit, non-degree-granting research institution where people conduct cutting-edge investigations about Earth and its place in our Universe. As an intern, you will experience authentic, collaborative scientific research experiences across the range of disciplines pursued on the campus—including astronomy, geochemistry, geophysics, material science, and planetary science. This internship is offered in Washington, DC, and runs for 10 weeks during the summer.
