The Pixar Undergraduate Program (PUP) is available to sophomore and junior-level undergraduates students who are majoring in computer science, computer graphics, digital art, art, or a related field. Members of the armed forces, self-taught students, and professional applicants who are in career transition are also eligible to apply. To be considered for this internship, you should be passionate about the intersection of art and technology, possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, and have a demo reel/portfolio that demonstrates visual and technical excellence. As an intern, you will learn and complete individual projects focused on various technical aspects of the animation pipeline including modeling, set dressing, shading, characters, layout (camera & staging), lighting, and effects. This all culminates to the final month where you’ll implement your learnings in a group project and have a chance for elective individual exploration projects. You’ll have training and access to Pixar’s software and assets. This internship is offered in Emeryville, CA.
