Description

The Sierra Club Deep Canvassing Internship is available to applicants in the Saint Louis, Missouri, area who are committed to environmental justice and deep community engagement. Preference will be given to applicants who have knowledge of environmental justice issues, fossil fuels/ coal, or climate justice. As an intern, you will support the work of Missouri Chapter staff to engage in deep canvassing conversations with residents in St. Louis, Missouri. You will support community engagement, turnout, and data collection for the chapter’s deep canvassing campaign and will receive training in evidence-based practices for grassroots organizing and deep canvassing. You will also learn the Jemez Principles for Democratic Organizing and best practices for equitable organizing.
