Tryon Equine Internship

Description

The Tryon Equine Internship is open to students in equine veterinary medicine. Interns are responsible for hospitalized patients, intensive care cases, treatments, health records and daily examinations. Interns will also be responsible for anesthesia duties and working with our veterinarians on imaging, surgery, lameness, medicine, and reproductive examinations. Each day, interns will evaluate each case with one of our senior clinicians to make a daily plan for treatment. During ambulatory rotations, interns will work with senior clinicians assessing and treating patients on farms. As the internship and intern’s skill set progresses, there will be opportunity for seeing cases autonomously with senior clinician support.
