Description

The MDC Resource Management and GIS Internship is available to undergraduate students who have completed at least 45 credit hours, have a minimum GPA of 2.8, and are pursuing a degree in outdoor recreation, natural resources, public engagement, or a related field. As an intern, you will use mapping tools (GPS, mapping apps) to document known/unknown plant invasive/aggressive species and document and monitor management units. You will assist with incorporating written documentation of management actions (past and present) into Arc Pro for a more unified, easily transferrable, and accessible method for knowledge sharing. You will also enhance plant identification skills through management actions and collaborate with other work teams and professionals with workdays, surveys, or other department priorities. This internship is offered in Columbia, MO.
