Kotzebue Higher Education Scholarship

The Kotzebue Higher Education Scholarship is open to Alaskan natives of the Village of Kotzebue. You must provide verification of tribal membership, an acceptance letter to a university or college, a budget/need sheet, two letters of recommendation, a personal statement of future goals and career plans and school transcripts as required. If you are a continuing student, you will need a minimum 2.0 GPA, have completed at least 12 credit hours and be a full-time student. The purpose of the Kotzebue Higher Education Program is to financially assist eligible Native people enrolled to the Native Village of Kotzebue with the costs to attend a college or a university. The goal of this program is to assist Native students with the financial ability to achieve a degree in their chosen profession, thus increasing the possibility to become self-sufficient and successful individuals within the NANA Region and providing role models for future generations.
