The Louis Pelzer Memorial Award is for the graduate student who submits the best essay in American history (any period or topic). Your essay should not exceed 10,000 words and will be judged on the significance of the subject matter, literary craftsmanship and competence in the handling of evidence. You must be enrolled in a graduate program pursuing a degree in any field.
