The Hugh A. Smith Scholarship is available to high school seniors, college level freshmen, and sophomores who are enrolled or intend to enroll in an approved post - secondary institution in Kansas. You must be the son or daughter of a member of The Kansas American Legion and / or Kansas American Legion Auxiliary for the past three consecutive years to qualify for this award.
