Ruth Knee Merit Award

The Ruth Knee Merit Award is available to college - bound high school seniors in the Washington, D.C. metro area. To be eligible, you must rank in the upper 10 percent of your class and have a minimum GPA of 3.75, or have the equivalent SAT score of at least 1950. You must also demonstrate a sustained interest in liberal arts and science studies and associated activities, show evidence of distinguished independent study in the form of extra or special projects, and have developed a concern for the responsible exercise and application of knowledge. A personal statement and essay are also required.
