Description
The Jean DeGrace Crandall Memorial Scholarship is available to high school senior and undergraduate students who are migrant farmworkers or children of migrant farmworkers. You must reside in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, or Westchester County, NY, to be eligible for this award. Preference will be given to students who are from Mexico. Selection is based on two letters of recommendation and a 250-300 word essay describing a situation or obstacle you faced, how you dealt with it, what you learned from the experience, and how might that experience help others facing similar circumstances.
