School of American Research
The Eric and Barbara Dobkin Native Artist Fellowship is open to indigenous, female artists who are studying arts and are least 18 years of age. This artist-in-residence program provides time for artists to explore new avenues of creativity, to grapple with new ideas to further advance their work, and to strengthen existing talents. The fellowship supports diverse creative disciplines and can include sculpture, performance, basketry, painting, printmaking, digital art, mixed media, photography, pottery, writing, and film and video. The program includes a monthly stipend, housing, studio space, a supplies allowance, full access to the IARC collections, and travel reimbursement to and from SAR. The residency takes place each year March 1 - May 31.
