Description
The Jest Laugh Scholarship is available to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a theater program who have demonstrated experience in improv as well and a strong inclination towards humor. Selection is based on a 400-600-word essay addressing the following topic: "Write about a moment in your life when humor helped you overcome a challenge or difficult situation. How did this experience shape your understanding of the role comedy can play in our lives and in the arts? Please detail your theater experience and what you'd like to do with your theater degree in the future. If you've done comedic crowd work and/or improv in the past, please be sure to specify this!".
