Description
The Tanaka Memorial Foundation Award is open to current first or second-year students at Bates College who are interested in traveling to Japan for Technos International Week in June. You must have an academic interest in Japan, China, Korea or Taiwan and be a U.S. citizen or from a country whose citizens are permitted similar visa waiver conditions for short-term entry to Japan to qualify for this award. Preference is given to students who have taken one or more classes in East Asian languages or other areas of Asian Studies.
