Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship
Congressional Hunger Center
The Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship is available to students who are committed to social justice and demonstrate leadership qualities and skills. During this year long program, fellows will gather in Washington, D.C. for a comprehensive orientation and field training, where they learn about hunger, poverty, and social inequality in the United States, the local and national programs designed to address the issues, and the various approaches to social change. To be considered, you must be flexible and have the ability to adjust to new situations, be creative and have initiative in problem solving, and have the willingness to learn from experts in the field.
