Description
The Society of American Military Engineers Kittyhawk Post Major General Frank Barnes Scholarship is open to full-time students accepted or enrolled in a baccalaureate science, engineering or architecture program. New freshmen must rank in the top 20 percent of your high school class, while currently enrolled students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Selection is based on demonstrated academic performance, test scores, letters of recommendation and extracurricular, campus and community activities. Preference is given to applicants who are dependents of SAME members in good standing, dependents of Department of Defense employees (current, retired, civilian or military) working in fields of engineering or science, or dependents of employees of SAME sustaining member firms.
