Description

The Wenner-Gren Foundation Dissertation Fieldwork Grant is available to students who have successfully completed all requirements for a doctoral degree in anthropology other than the dissertation/thesis. Selection for this award will be based on the quality of your research and its potential contribution to anthropological knowledge, theory and debate. You must have a well-defined research question, a detailed description of appropriate evidence to answer the research question, a feasible plan for gathering and analyzing this evidence, and demonstrate the significance of the research to important theoretical and methodological issues in anthropology. Preference will be given to students undertaking research that employs comparative perspectives, generates innovative approaches and ideas, and/or integrates two or more subfields of anthropology.
