Wellesley College is a private women's liberal-arts college in the town of Wellesley, Massachusetts, United States, west of Boston. A member of the original Seven Sisters Colleges, Wellesley is known for cultivating women as global leaders and for its influential alumnae. Founded in 1870, Wellesley is consistently ranked among the top 10 liberal arts colleges in the United States by multiple ratings groups (for example, Forbes and U.S. News & World Report).
