<h3>Disney College Program Internship: Update
Due to the concern of social distancing and the increasing number of Coronavirus cases in both Florida and California, Disney Internships and Programs announced on July 2, 2020 that the Disney College Program will be suspended until further notice.
According to an NBC news outlet, while the theme park is set to reopen later in July, they’re not sure when the “Disney-owned apartment that interns live in will reopen.” Referenced on both Websites, Disneyland Resort (California) remains closed with only The Downtown Disney District entering its phased reopening. Walt Disney World (Florida) has opened with enhanced cleaning, face mask requirements and physical distancing protocols in place.

But don’t give up on the magic, just yet (Someone queue the fairy godmothers, please!). Disney officials are indicating that the Disney Programs should resume in the future once America has a handle on COVID and leaders have decided to adjust eligibility requirements so that college students that may have missed out on their Disney Internship experience have the chance to live the dream in the future.**
Disney internships, at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, take place in the fall and spring. The spring internship season at Disney World and Disneyland is January through the beginning of August. The fall programs, in both Florida and California, occur from May through the beginning of January. Both the fall and spring seasons have shorter and/or longer options at both locations.
Applications for the fall program are open from January through March of the internship year. For instance, if you’d like to be a Fall 2021 Disney intern, you’ll need to submit your application beginning January 2021.
Spring programs applications open from August to October of the year before you’d be an intern. For example, if you’d like to intern next spring 2021 you’ll need to start your application in August of 2020.
