Due to the concern of social distancing and the increasing number of Coronavirus cases in both Florida and California, Disney Internships and Programs announced on July 2, 2020 that the Disney College Program will be suspended until further notice.
According to an NBC news outlet, while the theme park is set to reopen later in July, they’re not sure when the “Disney-owned apartment that interns live in will reopen.” Referenced on both Websites, Disneyland Resort (California) remains closed with only The Downtown Disney District entering its phased reopening. Walt Disney World (Florida) has opened with enhanced cleaning, face mask requirements and physical distancing protocols in place.

The Disney College Program Internship is a paid internship, open to students who are enrolled in an accredited college or university and have completed at least one semester. You must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for this internship. As a Disney intern, you’ll also live like a princess or prince in Disney-owned housing. Interns get the royal treatment with a nice sized list of included amenities, such as free internet access, all utilities paid and more.
