Award Amount: $100,000 The Paradigm Challenge is open to students up to the age of 18. You may work in a team or alone in creating an original and creative way to help solve real-life problems in homes, schools, communities, and/or around the world. Entries may come in the form of posters, videos, inventions, messages, community events, websites, mobile apps, or anything else that will help save lives. Also, you must submit a brief statement of your idea (140 characters or less) to qualify for this award.

#ScienceSaves High School Video Scholarship

Award Amount: $250 - $10,000 The #ScienceSaves High School Video Scholarship is available to high school senior students. To be considered for this award, you must create a 20-30 second video answering the question “What has science done for me?” or “What has science done for somebody I know?", making sure to add #sciencesaves to your video. Selection is based on your ability to highlight how science saves in a succinct, creative way with original photos, video clips, and text.

Award Amount: $1,000 - $5,000 The We The Future Contest is open to high school and college students. To enter, you must submit an essay, song, STEM project, short film, social media video, or PSA on a given topic related to the Constitution.

Ocean Awareness Contest

Deadline: 6/10/24
Award Amount: $100 - $1,000 The Ocean Awareness Contest is open to students between the ages of 11 and 18. Students are invited to learn about the climate crisis and its impact on oceans; discover or imagine solutions at local, national, or global scales; and create work that explores hope in action. Submissions are accepted in visual art, creative writing, film, interactive and multimedia, music, dance, poetry, and spoken word. Entries may be submitted by an individual or group of unlimited size. If you submit as a group, there must be one group leader who will serve as the contact person for the group.

One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest

Deadline: 6/25/24
Award Amount: $100 - $1,000 The One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest is open to students who are no more than 25 years of age. You must submit a three - to eight - minute video that shares and highlights solutions to the issues discussed in the chosen sustainability topic(s) on the sponsor's website. The film entry's theme must be solution-based. The film should talk about an environmental / sustainability problem and then discuss what could be a potential solution to this problem. Videos may be submitted by either an individual or a group and animated videos of no more than 45 seconds will also be considered.

The Eye of the Eagle Wladyslaw Zachariasiewicz Memorial Journalism Scholarship

Deadline: 6/30/24
Award Amount: $5,000 The Eye of the Eagle Wladyslaw Zachariasiewicz Memorial Journalism Scholarship is available to students of Polish descent and those who have a clear understanding of Polish culture and values. You must be pursuing a career in journalism to be eligible for this award. Selection is based on academic merit, letters of recommendation, writing samples, and a personal essay or video submission.

Workamajig Generative AI + Human Design Scholarship

Deadline: 6/30/24
Award Amount: $5,000 The Workamajig Generative AI + Human Design Scholarship is open to a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident who is 14 years old or older. You must show proof of enrollment in graphic design certificate programs, courses, and vocational schools in addition to four-year institutions. Additionally, you must also submit one of the following design projects: an overview video that will be used to promote this contest in the future, create a stunning visual portrait of a college student at graduation or visually depict the revolutionary new technology in picture or video. To be considered for this award, you must also submit a 500-word essay on the topic provided by the sponsor.

Imagination, Initiative, Invention (I3) Scholarship

Deadline: 7/1/24
Award Amount: $500 - $5,000 The Imagination, Initiative, Invention (I3) Scholarship is available to first-year students attending the Landing School. You must demonstrate your creative ability by building an object of your choice, then in a 3–5-minute video, answer these three questions: what did you build, how did you build it and why did you build it?

J and K Climate Change Scholarship

Deadline: 7/15/24
Award Amount: $2,000 The J and K Climate Change Scholarship is open to college, graduate, and post-graduate students enrolled at least half-time in an accredited degree program in Oregon. You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application and submit a video of seven minutes or less or a written discussion of 1,000 to 2,000 words on the prompt provided by the sponsor to be considered for this award.

Learning Beyond Borders Scholarship

Deadline: 7/15/24
Award Amount: $500 - $1,000 The Learning Beyond Borders Scholarship is available to rising college sophomores. You must be planning on and have been accepted into a study abroad program either this coming semester or the following semester to be considered for this award. A personal statement in either video or essay format must also be submitted.

"Stuck at Prom" Scholarship Contest

Deadline: 7/17/24
Award Amount: $1,000 - $15,000 The Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest is open to high school and homeschool students who create and wear prom attire made entirely from Duck® Brand Duct Tape! Students may enter the Contest as an individual only. Everyone must create and wear prom attire consisting of either a complete dress or a complete tuxedo and accessories made using Duck brand duct tape and/or Duck brand crafting tape. Other materials, in addition to Duck brand duct tape, may be used or incorporated into the design. You are NOT required to attend prom to enter. You must submit at least one high resolution color photo, a written essay, or video showing you wearing your Duct Tape Prom Attire. Assistance from family and/or friends is permitted in creating the Prom attire; however, paid professionals cannot participate in any way.

"Pass the Torch" Teacher Scholarship

Award Amount: $5,000 The "Pass the Torch" Teacher Scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a degree in K-12 education. To be considered, you must submit a six-minute video that tells the story of a teacher who had an impact on you, and what you learned from that person that you'd like to pass on to the students you will teach.

Defy Impossible Esthetics Student Scholarship

Award Amount: $20,000 The Defy Impossible Esthetics Student Scholarship is open to students who have spent any length of time in the foster care system before the age of 18 in the state of California. You must plan to enroll in an esthetics program at a licensed training school or program that leads to licensure, be a U.S. citizen, reside in California, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.4 to be eligible for this award. The selection is based on a YouTube video submission addressing challenges, goals, and passions.

Award Amount: $2,000 The Pulse of Perseverance Scholarship is available to high school and college students. To be considered, you must read the book, "Pulse of Perseverance: Three Black Doctors on Their Journey to Success" and submit a 250 - word essay focusing on how you are currently making a difference in your community and why you believe you have the #pulseofperseverance. You must also submit a 60 - second video on why you possess the #pulseofperseverance and what the scholarship will mean to you.
