The Washington Performing Arts Education and Community Engagement Internship - Remote/Hybrid is available to students who are highly motivated, creative and hard-working with an interest in all aspects of arts management. You must have previous office experience, strong organizational skills, effective writing and communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to learn quickly and to take initiative to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will provide assistance with overall administrative, logistical support, and production needs for Education and Community Engagement initiatives including communicating with school administrators, teachers, local artists, and organizational partners, researching and preparing for music competitions, and conducting research on potential community artists, potential partner organizations, and alternative venues. You will work with the Creative Media department to publicize program events and ensure branding includes funder acknowledgements, creative support materials, coordinate transportation/sign up for programs, and support/plan department events like DCPS Honor Ensembles competitions and EAP Mini United Nations.
