The Hudson Pride Center Beyond the Binary Internship is available to students who identify along the transgender and/or non-binary spectrums and are committed to working directly with the community. Hudson Pride Center is a home and a voice to the diverse LGBTQ+ community of Hudson County whose mission is to enhance the lives of LGBTQ+ people by creating a safe physical and virtual home, social services, and programs that meet the ongoing needs, and to build trust with each and every person that seeks help. As an intern, you will plan, organize, and facilitate weekly social/support group meetings. You will maintain group records and provide written content for grant reports, assist with workshops and events, perform outreach, help bring in new prospective transgender and non-binary clients, conduct intakes on new clients, and perform general research and outreach related to current or prospective projects. This six week internship is offered in Jersey City, NJ, as a hybrid of in-person and remote work.
