The Brookings Institution Research and Events Internship - AI and Emerging Technology is available to junior and senior-level undergraduate students majoring in computer science, engineering, social science, public policy, or related fields. To be considered for this role, you should have excellent communication, writing, analytical skills, and organizational skills. You should also have experience working independently with little direction, a passion to learn and adapt in a fast-paced office environment, and proficiency in R, Python, or another language for data analysis. As an intern, you will assist in coordinating events conducting research on public policy and emerging technology. Brookings scholars affiliated with the Initiative work on a wide-range of tech policy issues and projects, from algorithmic bias, data privacy, and cybersecurity to automation, the future of work, disinformation campaigns, the geopolitics of tech, and more. Interns will be responsible for a range of event management, research and publication tasks in support of ongoing projects in the Initiative.
