Attention humans that adore their furry cat or dog friends--This scholarship opportunity is for animal lovers! The $2,500 Rover College Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors and current college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.
How to Enter
To be considered, you must submit a 400-to-500-word essay on the following topic:
"How did growing up with a pet in your life (could be a friend's or family member's) impact the person you are today?"
Rover College Scholarship Qualifications
To qualify for the Rover Scholarship, applicants must:
• Be a United States resident.
• Be a graduating high school senior or a current college freshman, sophomore, junior, or college graduate student pursuing an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree.
• Have a 3.0 GPA minimum.
• No relation to Rover staff (applicants can, however, be related to someone who's a pet sitter or dog walker on Rover).
How Rover Scholarship Essays Will Be Judged
Rover Scholarship judges are looking for essays that implement unique ideas, personal stories, and thoughts about how pets, in any form, have helped shape who you are today.
Essays for the Rover College Scholarship will be graded in the following manner:
• Thoughtfulness: 50%
• Relevance: 30%
• Quality: 15%
• Grammatical Accuracy: 5%
One $2,500 scholarship winner will be selected and notified by May 31, 2025.
