The Maverick Academic Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen at the University of Texas at Arlington who have received designations through any of the four National Recognition Programs. A variety of factors are considered using a combination of academic qualifications such as high school rank, GPA, test scores and difficulty of high school courses.
