Description
The Public Safety GIS Intern is available to qualified undergraduate or graduate student (majoring in geography, urban planning, or other similar degree) with an interest in learning about the development of Public Safety GIS data. Helps City GIS Staff in creating and maintaining spatial data; performs data integration, map creation, and maintenance of ArcSDE. You must have intermediate level of computer knowledge and experience., basic / Intermediate level of GIS and ESRI product suite knowledge, and ability to utilize word processing and data entry programs to be considered for this position. As an intern, you will work with City staff on GIS projects, creation and maintenance of documentation / metadata, and cartographic assistance to Public Safety employees.
