The MCA Denver Curatorial Internship For Underrepresented Students In The Arts is available to underrepresented (BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), Latinx, and Asian-American) students and recent graduates. You must be pursuing a degree in art history or museum studies, or be able to demonstrate a strong interest and knowledge of art history, contemporary art, and museum work to be eligible for this award. Additionally, you must have experience utilizing art historical research tools, have an acute attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple projects at once. As an intern, you will develop a special project at the museum to be realized during the internship, research artists and exhibition-related topic, make connections with professionals from Denver-based arts organizations, perform filing, collaborate with the Exhibitions Manager and Curatorial Associate on generating research relevant to the production and planning of exhibition, and work with the Senior Curator on preparing materials for artists in advance of their site visits and aiding during site visits. This internship is located in Denver, CO, and runs for 12 weeks.
