The Oculus Software Engineering Graphics Internship is available to students pursuing a PhD in computer graphics, virtual reality, or related field. You must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have experience working in different parts of technology stack to complete a project (across front-end and back-end, PHP, React Native, and/or C++) to be considered for this internship. Additionally, you must have a basic understanding of virtual reality concepts and proficiency in working with 3D computer graphics. Preference will be given to applicants who are familiar with Timewarp/Reprojection/Lens Distortion, have one+ years experience writing software, and possess knowledge about light fields, depth maps, and technologies related to rich media capture. As an intern, you will design, code, review, and test software spanning many layers of the VR stack, from low-level graphics capture and manipulation in C++ to UIs in Android and React Native. You will apply best practice software design principles while keeping a strong eye on performance and work closely with various engineering teams across Oculus, as well as peers in design, QA, and others. This internship is located in Los Angeles, CA. Average monthly compensation for a Meta Intern is $8,000.
