African Community Center Communications Internship

Description

The African Community Center Communications Internship is available to students pursuing a degree in liberal arts, communications, business, or related fields. To be considered for this internship, you should have strong intercultural, marketing, design, communication, and organizational skills. Additionally, you should have interest in working in a non-profit setting with refugees. Preference will be given to applicants who are bilingual in English and one of the following languages: Arabic, Somali, Kiswahili, Tigrinya, Dari, Pashto, Nepali, Burmese and dialects spoken in Burma (Karen, Kachin, Rohingya and others). As an intern, you will assist the Development Manager in all aspects of non-profit communications, including the creation of graphic design materials using Canva, the scheduling of social media posts across channels via Hootsuite, building email newsletter content in MailChimp, developing impact stories to share with donors and ACC supporters, and increasing brand awareness for ACC. This internship is located in Denver, CO, on a hybrid basis.
