African Community Center Integration Coach Internship

Description

The African Community Center Integration Coach Internship is available to students who have an interest in working in a non-profit setting with refugees. To be considered for this internship, you should possess strong intercultural and organizational skills as well as have a clean driving record and background. Preference will be given to applicants who are bilingual in English and one of the following languages: Arabic, Somali, Kiswahili, Tigrinya, Dari, Pashto, Nepali, Burmese and dialects spoken in Burma (Karen, Kachin, Rohingya and others). As an intern, you will provide case management core services to newly arrived refugees and immigrants including assisting with housing set-ups, airport pick-ups, orientation, public benefits applications, etc. You will also guide community members to set goals and refer them to different training and educational programs based on their identified needs and goals. This internship is located in Denver, CO.
