Description

The Dive Operations and Biology Internship is available to undergraduate students who are majoring in natural sciences. To be considered for this internship, you should hold a Minimum Advanced Open Water Certification from a national recognized scuba agency, have logged at least 25 dives in varying conditions, be CPR/AED/O2 knowledgeable, and be able to lift at least 50 pounds. If selected as an intern, you must pass an AAUS Physical, Swim, and Scuba Skills test. As an intern, you will perform husbandry of the Great Ocean Tank and The Shallows exhibits, with specific focus on sharks, rays, and our loggerhead sea turtle. You may also have the opportunity to work with the Reef Research Program and offshore lionfish research project, which could include field diving. This internship is located in Charleston, SC.
