The Native American Women’s Health Education Resource Center Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent graduates who are interested in Native American women's civil rights, rights, health, and environment. As an intern, you will be assigned to the Resource Center or to the Domestic Violence Shelter, which is located four blocks away. After arrival and an orientation period, assignments will be given out based on your experience, strengths, interests, and, if necessary, academic requirements. Each intern receives $500.00 per month along with free room at the shelter and partial board from the Resource Center’s food pantry. This internship is located in Lake Andes, SD, and the duration is between three months - one year.
