Description
Washington Park Zoo Internships are available to students who are at least 18 years of age and have completed at least one year of college. You must have a "C" grade average, and the ability to lift at least 50lbs in order to be considered for this award. Interns will provide practical, on-the-job experience, exposure to zoo operations and zoo careers, and demonstrate the unique advantages of zoos as a supplement to conventional learning programs. Internships are available in the fields of animal care, camp counseling, communications and marketing, education, exhibit design, and horticulture.
