Description

The Florence Copper Environmental Sciences Summer Internship is available to students majoring in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. To be considered for an internship, you should have a minimum GPA of 2.75, be detail-oriented, have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, be able to lift 50 pounds, and be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Students interested in a mining career will be given preference. As an intern, your duties will include collecting samples from the plant and wellfield, assisting with the Core Hole Abandonment Program, basic field parameters, data entry and analysis, updating spreadsheets, escorting deliveries, environmental characterizations, and calibrating instruments. This internship is offered in Florence, AZ.
