Description

The Kauffman Center Facility Sales and Events Internship is available to students in the Kansas City, MO, area who are majoring in hospitality, communications, venue management, or related field. To be considered for this internship, you should be flexible, dependable, detail-oriented, self-starting, and possess excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who are proficient in Microsoft Office, database management, and social media. As an intern, you will work and collaborate with the senior director of sales, event operations manager, and the event coordinator as well as entire facility team on special events. Specifically, you will assist in responding to event inquiries, communicate via email and phone to answer questions from potential and current clients, and help to plan, organize, and execute events. This internship is offered in Kansas City, MO, during the summer, fall, and spring semesters.
