The Hudson Pride Center YouthConnect Internship is available to students interested in learning about nonprofit work and LGBTQ+ youth/young adult specific barriers and issues. Hudson Pride Center is a home and a voice to the diverse LGBTQ+ community of Hudson County whose mission is to enhance the lives of LGBTQ+ people by creating a safe physical and virtual home, social services, and programs that meet the ongoing needs, and to build trust with each and every person that seeks help. As an intern, you will work under the direct supervision of HPC’s Youth Program Coordinator and the Director of Programs. Specifically, you will conduct intakes on potential new YouthConnect members, perform follow-ups, assist with social media outreach and content creation, plan workshops and events, chaperone field trips and events, and conduct research relating to current or prospective projects. This six week internship is offered in Jersey City, NJ, as a hybrid of in-person and remote work.
