Description

The Envision Energy Wind Turbine Power Performance Internship is available to graduate students and to exceptional junior-level and above undergraduate students who are majoring in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a similar field. To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess strong programming skills, enjoy applying creativity in solving technical issues, be self-motivated, have some experience with blade design and tools, and communicate effectively. Additionally, you should have an interest in renewable energy, data analytics, machine learning, optimization, computer programming. As an intern, your duties may include: fine-tuning power curves to address effects of site-specific conditions on the turbine performance using low or medium fidelity tool, conducting inflow/control parameter sensitivity studies, analyzing data to support power curve validation, and contributing to creating tool chain processes.
