The National Press Foundation Summer Internship is available to upper-division and graduate journalism students who possess strong research, copy editing, and writing skills. To be considered for this opportunity, you should also have mastery of AP Style, understand graphic design principles, and be aware of social media best practices. As an intern, you may write stories based on expert speakers’ briefings on a variety of subjects, assist with graphic design production using Canva, provide logistical assistance for journalism training programs, improve the foundation’s social media presence, assist with publishing content on nationalpress.org, complete research, and compile metrics. This internship is offered as either a hybrid position in Washington, DC, or fully-remote position.
