Description

The University of Chicago Youth Internship Program is available to high school students 16 years of age and older who are residents of Chicago and attending a Chicago public or charter school. To be considered for this program, you should have an interest in learning about health sciences, computer sciences, or IT services. Preference will be given to students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. This is a two-year program. Year One experience takes an earn and learn approach with career and college preparation through workshops, seminars, and activities. This includes a guest speaker series from a variety of STEM professionals, workplace tours, professional leadership lessons, college tours, post-secondary planning, and service learning. Year Two experience is a paid internship within one of several university units for a six-week job in health sciences, computer sciences, or IT services.
