Description

The Denver Health Counseling Services Internship is available to applicants who have an interest in addictions counseling and working with substance use/abuse patient population. To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess strong communication skills, be able to collaborate with others, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. As an intern, you will assist detox counseling staff with various tasks related to patient care coordination in the detox facility. Tasks may include assisting with forms completion and data entry, obtaining and recording breath alcohol levels, retrieving patient property at discharge, obtaining clothing or other supplies for patients, escorting patients through the facility, may monitor patients at meals, visitation, recreational activities or other times as needed and as appropriate.
