KCUR Up To Date Internship-PAID

The KCUR Up To Date Internship is available to students studying communications and related fields. To be considered for this opportunity, you should be able to work quickly, independently and successfully under pressure and with constant deadlines. Preference will be given to applicants with audio editing skills. As an intern, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of KCUR’s award-winning daily public affairs talk show hosted by Steve Kraske. You will pitch show and feature ideas, participate in production meetings, research show topics and guests, mix recorded promos and billboards, update the web page, gather and edit audio, conduct pre-interviews and screen phone calls during the live broadcast. By the end of the internship, you will have pitched and produced at least one show segment intended for broadcast on Up To Date. This internship is offered in Kansas City, Missouri, during the summer and during the school year as a nine-month commitment.
