The National Geographic Media Archives Internship is available to upper-division undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree in library and information science or a related field. To be considered for this role, you should possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have a background in digital asset management or experience handling older physical mediums such as film negatives and slides. As an intern, you will learn how to plan and prepare content for ingest into assessment management systems, work alongside an archivist to expedite ongoing projects of packing and transporting physical photography assets, and gain an understanding of best practices for curating digital assets.
