Description

The Silver Oak Cellars Harvest Lab Internship is available to students pursing a bachelors degree in enology, chemistry, or associated sciences. To be considered for this role, you should possess strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, Microsoft Office and analytical skills. Additionally, you should have knowledge of wines/wine production, and laboratory instrumentation/troubleshooting, and wine laboratory analysis. As an intern, you will interface with the enologist on analytical responsibilities, process grape maturity samples, perform manual and automated analysis of all juice and wines (which may include brix, pH, TA, alcohol, and enzymatic analysis of residual sugar, malic acid, potassium, ammonia, YAN, and phenolics), calibrate lab equipment, pull samples from tanks or barrels and complete analysis, manage/maintain experiments, and perform detailed record keeping of all analysis including experimental lots. This internship is offered in Oakville/Napa Valley, CA.
