Description
The Multicultural Initiative in the Marine Sciences program is open to undergraduate students who belong to groups currently underrepresented in the marine sciences. Students will spend two quarters at the Shannon Point Marine Center taking introductory and specialized courses in the marine sciences, attending seminars and workshops, exploring career opportunities, and engaging in supervised research. After the program, students will return to their home institutions to complete their undergraduate programs.
