The Bettye J. Patten Scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen at Christopher Newport University. You must be a resident of Newport News, Poquoson or Hampton, have a high school GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. This scholarship may be renewed if you maintain full-time status and a minimum GPA of 2.5.
