"More Graduations, Less Funerals" Workforce Development Scholarship

Description

The "More Graduations, Less Funerals" Workforce Development Scholarship is available to residents of York County, Pennsylvania. To be considered for this opportunity, you must belong to one of the following categories: gun violence victim, witness, offender, and/or immediate family/household member. Selected recipients may select from a workforce development program at Harrisburg Area Community College, including: security training, basic welding, EMT, cardiology technician, recovery specialist, CDL, computer operating and programming, English language learner, forklift operator, Microsoft Office suite, nurse aide, personal care home administrator, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy technician, reflexology, or wastewater operator. Selection is based on an essay submission describing how you have been impacted by gun violence and how you believe educational support will positively affect you.
