The Dr. Alvin Ring Empowerment Scholarship for Laboratory Professionals is available to students from medically-underserved and/or rural areas, seeking to serve medically-underserved communities with their education. You must be in good academic standing, show commitment to staying in the laboratory profession and fit into one of the following categories: current high school student, laboratory science students, active student in a non-laboratory science field, a working professional (not an active student) starting in a NAACLS-accredited program in Phlebotomy (PBT), Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), or Histotechnology (HTL) by August 31 2025. To be considered for this award, you must be a U.S citizen.
