Description

The Puri Family Scholarship is available to first- and second-year law students attending schools within the San Francisco Bay Area who have a commitment to and demonstrated interest in legal and social issues facing women of color. Selection criteria include past, present and future community service or public interest work for the Asian Pacific American (APA) community or other underrepresented communities; demonstrated leadership in the APA community; demonstrated financial need; and past, present and future commitment to the Bay Area. Recipients must agree to attend the AABA Summer Diversity Reception in San Francisco, become a law student member of AABA, and become a lawyer member of AABA upon graduation from law school.
